The Croatian Center for Cleaner Production is a non-governmental non-profit
institution promoting concept of cleaner production in Croatia. Center’s services are intended for industry, administration bodies, industrial associations, educational institutions, financial organizations and public.
Cleaner production is continuous application of comprehensive preventive environmental protection strategy on the production process, product and services aiming at increased effectiveness and risk minimization for people and environment.
IPPC Directive
Main principle of the Directive is that those who promote legislation and monitor implementation and those who implement the same, have to encompass each industry as whole and its environmental impacts (air, water, soil) before taking any technological measures needed for required level of environmental protection.
Environmental protection education for hotels Project
Final workshop and presentation of the results of Environmental Protection Education for Hotels Project was held December 8th in the Croatian Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb. In project which commenced in January 2006, five tourist-hospitality associations participated, encompassing seven hotels: hotel Kutina, Kutina, hotels Diamant and Kristal, Poreč, hotel Vicko, Starigrad Paklenica, hotel Ambasador, Opatija, and hotela Istra and Neptun, NP Brijuni.
